The 2026 BMW M3 Competition produces 503 hp from a 3.0 L twin-turbo six-cylinder and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 s. The 2024 Audi RS5 Sportback produces 450 hp from a 2.9 L twin-turbo V6 and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 s. Both have all-wheel drive (xDrive for the BMW, quattro for the Audi).
Character
The M3 is the sportier of the two: more direct steering, carbon bucket seats and a more present sound. The RS5 is more comfortable on the highway, and its Sportback hatch gives access to a large cargo area.
Which one to choose?
